Prüfgeräte (Test Sets)
There are four different Prüfgeräte (Test Sets) for the SEM 25 and SEM 35
radio family. They all look the same, being build into the same canisters. They
are however easily discerned by the number of stripes on those boxes.
This Test Set is meant to adjust the Antenna Tuner (AGAT) which is part of
every vehicular or fixed installation with SEM 25 or SEM 35. It measures
reflections and is used in order to tune the AGAT for each MHz. for best
results. Apart from that it also can measure the power output of the transceiver
attached and it can test the HF-cable.
These adjustments must be undertaken whenever an antenna is installed and should
be repeated regularly. Of course, the Test Set itself should also be calibrated
yearly.
This Test Set is marked on the outside with one white stripe.

BV-Prüfgerät BVP 25/35 (Intercom Test Set) Vers.-Nr. 6625-12-145-5485)
This Test Set is meant to check the proper functioning of the cabling of a
SEM installation. It comes with a canvas bag full of adapters and adapter
cabling and cannot be properly used without this bag
This Test Set is marked on the outside with three white stripes.
S/E Prüfgerät SEP 25 (SEM 25 Test Set) Vers.-Nr. 6625-12-145-4150)
This Test Set can only be used to test the SEM 25 transceiver. It performs
the following functions:
- Measures voltages and currents in the working set
- Transmitter HF-Tuning after exchanging tubes
- Functionality check
- Errors can be pinpointed up to module level.
It is marked on the outside with two white stripes! It's also very, very
scarce!

S/E Prüfgerät SEP 35 (SEM 35 Test Set) Vers.-Nr. 6625-12-150-8694)
This Test Set can only be used to test the SEM 35 transceiver. It performs
the following functions:
- Measures voltages and currents in the working set
- Functionality check
- Errors can be pinpointed up to module level.
It is marked on the outside with four white stripes, three on the left, one
on the right. It's also very, very
scarce!
